City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office
The City of Green Lake Clerk-Treasurer’s Office is staffed with 2 full-time staff members. The City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office is the administrative department of the City and provides support to other departments, maintains public records; attests to official documents or actions taken by Council, Committees and Boards; updates the municipal codes, participates in annexation procedures; validates petitions; administers election law and procedures; maintains voter registration information; participates in and implementation of redistricting boundaries following federal census, provides administrative services to the Common Council; maintaining agendas and minutes; preparing publication of legal notices; responding to open records requests; issuing various licenses and permits; collection of City revenues including: tax payments, water/sewer utility payments, court fines, parking tickets, license and permit fees, and accounts receivable.
The staff must be familiar with adopted resolutions, municipal ordinances, policies, procedures and a multitude of local, state and federal laws dealing with municipal services.
